Sheffield - Isuzu Truck Sales Executive


Thompsons has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Salesperson with energy and drive to sell the complete Isuzu Truck range and deliver the “Total Solutions” approach to drive the complete range of services, maintenance, and financial products offered.


Your main sales area will be covering the Sheffield and surrounding areas.

  • Manage and develop customer base to meet the sales targets through sales, marketing, regular customer reviews and other necessary actions
  • Identify and develop potential sales opportunities with new and existing customers building the appropriate specifications and package offers
  • Clearly communicate with the wider business areas so that all appropriate stakeholders are updated appropriately.
  • Manage the financial aspect of all sales to company standard.
  • Build an online presence with the use of Online sales and Marketing.

Requirements for the role:

  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • Knowledge of automotive sales.
  • Strong understanding of contractual negotiations
  • Ability to construct detailed and watertight contractual agreements
  • A good understanding of the financing of business assets
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Experience in Online Sales and Marketing.


Main Duties:

  • To manage and develop all new Isuzu truck sales and supporting products to the levels detailed in the annual sales plan for your allocated territory in line with “Total Solutions”.
  • To actively prospect for new business, both with existing and new customers.
  • To work effectively with the customer relationship management (CRM) to ensure an effective coverage for your territory including maintenance and growth of relationships with existing customers.
  • To provide accurate and financially sound quotations to customers, taking into consideration their specific requirements.
  • To maintain and grow relationships
  • To liaise with all areas of the business to ensure maximum customer satisfaction is achieved including meeting key internal contacts for regular business reviews to formulate territory plans and communication of relevant information.
  • To contribute to the businesses objectives of managing cost, credit and profitability.
  • To maintain regular contact and working relationships with Sales and Aftermarket representatives of the key suppliers and appropriate local industry bodies.
  • To attend and support customer events as and when required, this may include events outside normal working hours.
  • To ensure professionalism and quality are always maintained in particular with customers and suppliers.
  • To assist managers with the introduction of new methods, designed or implicated to improve efficiency.
  • To comply with Thompson Commercials Safety Policy and other safety procedures and guidelines which are deemed part of this job description. Employees must look after their own health, safety and welfare and be mindful of other persons who may be affected by their acts. Employees must co-operate and comply with management instructions regarding Health and Safety issues and report all accidents, incidents and problems as soon as practicable to their supervisor, manager or other senior members of staff available.
