Purchase Ledger Clerk Job in Hull


A fantastic opportunity has arisen at our Head Office in Hull (HU7) for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk.


Salary: £22k - £24k per year (dependent on experience)

Shift pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00


Reporting to the Accountant, you will work closely with the purchase ledger controller to take full responsibility for the purchase ledger function within the centralised group accounts team.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Invoice input and processing, matching invoices to purchase orders
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Investigate and respond to supplier queries and requests for payment
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries
  • Operation of the purchase invoices logging, distribution and authorisation system
  • Maintain the purchase ledger invoices inbox
  • Review and maintain accounts within the purchase ledger
  • Assist with Aged Creditors review and reporting
